Ventilation Made Easy

The WindowBooster® Concept

The WindowBooster® enhances naturally driven window ventilation, making it controllable and weather-independent with unbeatably low effort.

The WindowBooster® Family

WindowBoosterFamily

The WindowBooster® is available in several variants. The mounting concept, ventilation performance, and the option to connect a window contact switch are identical for all of them. However, their control concepts and the arrangement of their operating elements differ.

WindowBooster® Basic

In this simplest variant, you manually set the desired ventilation level.

WindowBooster® CO2

In addition to manual control, it offers the option of continuous CO2-controlled room ventilation and a pause or boost ventilation automation that shuts off when the indoor air quality approaches that of outside air. The WindowBooster® CO2 is the first choice for demand-controlled ventilation in rooms occupied by up to 50 people.

WindowBooster® Nightflight

In addition to the functions of the WindowBooster® CO2, it includes the option for time- and temperature-dependent night ventilation. This allows you to flush rooms with up to approximately 400 m³ of volume with cool night air, starting the next summer day with pleasant temperatures. An optional outdoor temperature sensor ensures that the night ventilation only operates when the outside air is cooler than the indoor air.

WindowBooster® Remote

In all other members of the WindowBooster® family, control electronics, sensors, and operating elements are integrated into the device. In the case of the WindowBooster® Remote, these are provided via a wired remote control. All WindowBooster® remote controls are compatible with the Remote and can be exchanged freely, allowing you to operate multiple WindowBooster® units in parallel with one remote control.

The remote control is useful when the WindowBooster® is mounted at a height beyond your reach or on movable window sashes that should be loaded with as little weight as possible. It is also beneficial if there are doubts about the usefulness of CO2 measurement directly at the device, if multiple WindowBooster® units need to be operated with one control unit, or if you want to use your WindowBooster® as Basic, CO2, or Nightflight at different times.

The WindowBooster® comes with mounting bracket and window contact switch, and for the WindowBooster® Nightflight, with an additional outdoor temperature sensor with all necessary connection cables. Optional accessories include mounting kits for unusual window configurations and for screwless mounting on window frames, retrofittable window stoppers for operation on casement windows, and accessories that transform the WindowBooster® device into the WindowBooster® system.

The WindowBooster® is completely maintenance-free. Only dust that may accumulate during operation should be wiped or vacuumed off occasionally. However, it has no impact on indoor air hygiene, as the WindowBooster® blows into the open.

Clever Control

Control and Operating Modes

You can manually set the amount of air exchanged.

Or you leave that to the CO2 control system, which continuously regulates the air volume flow to keep the CO2 concentration within reasonable limits without exchanging more air than necessary.

Or you use the flushing automatic, which runs the WindowBooster® at full power at the push of a button until the indoor air quality approaches that of outside air. After that, it switches back to the previously used operating mode, either manual or CO2-controlled.

Or you use the night ventilation automation to flush the room with cool night air after a hot summer day. As long as it is cooler outside than inside.

Whatever control concept you consider most suitable for your specific application, all can be combined with a window contact switch. The primary purpose of this switch is to prevent the WindowBooster® fan from running when the window is closed. This also means that to use your WindowBooster®, you only need to do what you are used to: open the window when you want fresh air, close it when you don't.

Another benefit: the CO2 sensor also monitors air quality when the window is closed and indicates when ventilation is needed. The WindowBooster® then serves not only as a ventilation drive but also as a CO2 traffic light.

And if you want to lean out of the window without the WindowBooster® blowing in your neck, you can simply turn it off.

Overview

Technical Specifications

The WindowBooster® continuously blows up to 1,400 m³/h of room air out through the gap of a tilted or slightly opened window, allowing the same amount of outside air to flow into the room.

The design data is based on the ventilation needs of up to 50 people engaged in light, seated activities and effective nighttime ventilation for rooms with a volume of up to approximately 400 m³. Thus, the WindowBooster® effortlessly meets the ventilation requirements for typical classrooms, for example.

For greater air demands, multiple units can be operated in parallel.
